SPOTTY STORMS POSSIBLE TODAY; HEAVIER RAIN LIKELY FRIDAY… Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to be possible at times on this Thursday across south Alabama and northwest Florida. The entire local area is involved in a low-end, Level 1 (out of 5) severe weather risk valid for today, driven by the low-end chance of gusty winds and hail in the strongest of the storms. Widespread severe weather is not expected today, but one or two isolated severe storms may become possible. Rain chances will be even greater on Friday as another complex of rain and storms moves in from the northern Gulf of Mexico tomorrow morning. Scattered storms will continue to be possible into the weekend as well.
HEAVIER RAIN LIKELY AT TIMES TOMORROW… Widespread rain and thunderstorms are likely at times on Friday as another complex of showers and thunderstorms moves in from the southwest. There is a chance a few of these storms are strong at times, potentially producing gusty winds.
