SPOTTY STORMS THIS MORNING; EVER SO SLIGHTLY COOLER & DRIER AIR ARRIVES TONIGHT… Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to be possible across south Alabama and northwest Florida over the next several hours as a cold front approaches from the north. Widespread severe weather is not expected today, but a few of the storms may briefly ramp up and become strong. Gusty winds are the main concern in any thunderstorms that can briefly become strong. Rain and storms will clear out early this afternoon, paving the way for what is expected to be a dry evening. High temperatures will be in the low 90s today.
DRY THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY; COOL MORNINGS… Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s further inland with low 60s likely for most of us across south Alabama and northwest Florida tomorrow morning and over the next few mornings into the weekend. High temperatures will be around the 90 degree mark tomorrow and on Friday but humidity levels will be a bit reduced thanks to the passing of the cold front today into tonight.
SHOWERS & STORMS POSSIBLE MEMORIAL DAY AND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK… Rain chances are slated to rise on Memorial Day Monday with P.M. showers and thunderstorms being likely. Scattered storms will likely increase on coverage on Tuesday of next week. Widespread severe weather seems unlikely but we will be going into more of an unsettled, wet pattern next week.
TROPICS QUIET; HURRICANE SEASON BEGINS JUNE 1… The North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf are quiet with no new tropical storms expected to develop over the next 5-7 days. The 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season will officially begin on Sunday, June 1.
