COOL FRIDAY; NEAR FREEZING TEMPS OVERNIGHT; NICE WEEKEND… High temperatures will only be in the upper-50s inland and near 60 degrees closer to the coast on this Friday. Sunny skies are expected all day. If you are planning for an evening outdoor event, make sure to keep the jackets handy as temperatures will be in the upper-40s by 6PM. We’re headed to an overnight low near the freezing mark by 6AM Saturday. A Frost Advisory will be in place for several inland counties, just like last night. Temperatures will begin to rebound this weekend. Highs will approach the 70s by Monday.
EARLY LOOK AT THANKSGIVING FORECAST… Increasingly milder temperatures are expected as we get into the middle part of the upcoming week. High temperatures will be in the low- to mid-70s next week with morning lows back in the 50s. Scattered showers may become possible on Thanksgiving Day Thursday, but confidence in that range of the forecast remains low. It remains to be seen just how far southeast a cold front will move toward the end of next week.
TROPICS QUIET… I am expecting a quiet weekend, in terms of tropical activity, in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean. No new tropical storms are expected to form over the next few days. The 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season will officially end on Saturday, November 30.
