ALL CLEAR… Thumbs up for everyone as I can give a final ALL CLEAR to all parts of south Alabama and northwest Florida west of Destin and Crestview, including all of our local area. The severe weather risk has come to an end. Thank you so much to everyone (many thousands!) who tuned in to watch our live severe weather coverage today. MAKE SURE you support our RedZone Weather sponsors! They are the businesses across our region that support us and we want you to directly support them. redzoneweather.com/sponsors is where you can find the full list.

OVER-PERFORMING EVENT… Today is a classic example of why we encourage everyone to take “Level 2 (out of 5) risk days” seriously. We covered 10 tornado warnings and 15 separate severe thunderstorm warnings. Nearly all of our coverage area was under a warning at some point today. Sometimes you’ll get a Level 2 risk day that underperforms, but today was clearly “an overperformer” with numerous trees down and damage in several places across our region.

I appreciate you watching and I appreciate everyone who chooses RedZone Weather every, single day. Overnight lows will be in the upper-40s by Thursday morning under clear skies. Plenty of sunshine tomorrow!

Have a great evening!
