GORGEOUS WEEKEND WEATHER… Full sunshine is expected across south Alabama and northwest Florida today. High temperatures will peak around 81° in most spots, despite starting this morning in the 50s. Sunday will be dry and warm as well, with highs easing into the upper-80s. No rain issues on Sunday. Rain returns on Monday as a cold front gets set to move by our region. At this point, severe weather is not expected.
TROPICS ALMOST QUIET… The National Hurricane Center has removed the probability of development for the area of disturbed weather in the western Caribbean Sea. That area of low pressure will move westward toward the Yucatan Peninsula. Development is no longer expected. Tropical Storm Nadine is now off the board, as the system has dissipated completely in the central Atlantic. Redevelopment is not expected. Hurricane Leslie will be off the board in the next 48 hours, as the system may make landfall in Portugal as a category 1 hurricane on Sunday. The rest of the tropical Atlantic basin is QUIET and should remain that way for a few days.
