SUNNY, WARM DAYS AHEAD; RAIN BY THURSDAY EVENING… Mostly sunny conditions will prevail through Wednesday with high temperatures in the mid-80s today and on Tuesday. We’re looking ahead to our next rain chance likely to happen late Thursday evening as a band of showers and storms approaches. There is a good chance Friday will be wet at times with intermittent showers and storms. Rain clears out Friday evening, however, giving way to a nice, warm weekend. Let’s look at a few details…
DRY THROUGH WEDNESDAY… High temperatures will consistently be in the 80s with morning lows in the 50s and 60s. Clear skies are expected until Wednesday. That is when we may have a few cumulus clouds billowing in from the Gulf of Mexico ahead of the rain showers on Thursday evening.
FEW SHOWERS THURSDAY EVENING… Showers will return to south Alabama and northwest Florida on Thursday as an area of low pressure approaches from the west. High temperatures both on Thursday and on Friday will be in the low-80s. Much of the daytime hours on Thursday should be dry, especially for communities on the east side of our region like Andalusia, Opp, Greenville, and Destin.
FRIDAY SHOWERS & STORMS… Severe weather parameters remain low for Friday as of now. While there could be a few strong storms around, the potential for severe storms remain low, if not zero, for most spots. This is something I’ll be closely monitoring over the next few days.
