STRONG STORMS TO THE EAST… Multiple severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect for parts of southwest Georgia. There also is a cluster of severe storms in western Georgia and in northeast Randolph County, Alabama, north of Auburn. So far, thunderstorm action has been quite limited locally today. This is due, in part, to the line of thunderstorms that moved across our region late this morning into the early afternoon hours. That line of storms seemed to take a lot of energy out of the atmosphere, likely inhibiting storm development over the last 2-3 hours.
WHAT TO EXPECT – THIS EVENING… I can’t rule out an isolated shower or storm before the end of the day, but I do think that vast majority of us should remain dry through the evening. Another round of storms is likely on Tuesday afternoon/evening.
All the data suggests some spectacular sunsets over the next few days… Looking forward to sharing YOUR sunset pics! ? https://t.co/MdgI3wvI5A
