SHOWERS ACROSS THE REGION… Rain continues to increase in coverage across south Alabama and northwest Florida early on this Friday. There have been a few lightning strikes observed in the last hour, but most of this activity is happening in the form of showers and not thunderstorms. All of this action is well below severe limits, and widespread severe weather remains highly unlikely. There could be a brief stronger storm or two over the next 6-8 hours.
