SCATTERED SHOWERS & STORMS… Intermittent rain and storms continue this afternoon across south Alabama and northwest Florida. We’re watching radar trends carefully, but so far all of the storms have been well under severe limits. There have been some areas of lightning at times over the last hour or two. We encourage everyone to get inside when lightning is happening in your area. “When thunder roars, go indoors!”

STORMS STRENGTHENING SLIGHTLY… Lightning output has increased with a few of the thunderstorms across Conecuh, Escambia (AL), and Covington counties this afternoon. Storms are about to produce heavy rain in and near Andalusia, River Falls, Heath, Brewton, East Brewton, Riverview, Hubbert, Mt. Union, and surrounding areas. These storms are not severe, but they are likely producing gusty (15-20 mph) winds at at times.
Heavy pockets of rain continue to develop across the region on this Tuesday afternoon. There have been a few flashes of lightning in the storms near Pineview, Belleville, and Evergreen.
