Scattered downpours continue to pop up across the local area. Storms are not severe and we probably won't have any severe storms before the end of the day. pic.twitter.com/a0oupbIwEA

Hurricane Laura putting on a show in the central Gulf of Mexico as a large eye is forming. This process can occur quite rapidly in a few hours. Then, pressure falls & winds increase. Environmental conditions + warm water should lead to rapid intensification. #HurricaneLaura pic.twitter.com/Kw1o0HWqvC

Already seeing slowdowns in traffic near the Houston, Texas metro area this afternoon… I would imagine we’ll see more slowdowns as more evacuation orders kick in over the next few hours due to Hurricane #Laura. pic.twitter.com/gdyDlOTV5J

Heads up if you're near Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Gulf State Park… Look south into the Gulf over the next 10-15 minutes and you may be able to see a waterspout or two! Storms moving in from the south. pic.twitter.com/vxn2N7dntD

SCATTERED STORMS LOCALLY… Scattered showers and storms continue to develop across the interior of south Alabama and northwest Florida. These small showers and storms will continue to move north over the next few hours. We will probably have more in the way of showers and storms pop up over the next few hours. Severe weather is not expected today.
