TD31 has strengthened this afternoon and is now Tropical Storm #Iota. This is the 30th (!) named storm of the hyperactive 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season.

Tropical Depression 31 has formed in the central Caribbean Sea. This is the tropical wave that was INVEST 98L.
TD31 (soon-to-be T.S. Iota) is forecast to become a hurricane on approach to Nicaragua and Honduras.
