SCATTERED SHOWERS AROUND… Numerous small showers are happening across south Alabama and parts of northwest Florida this evening. There have been a few claps of thunder near Bay Minette and Perdido in the last hour. The rain currently happening across the region is mainly associated with weak showers, however. Rain coverage is likely to increase overnight. I cannot completely rule out some thunder overnight, but the overall risk of severe weather remains very low near the immediate coast and near zero farther inland.

WET MORNING COMMUTE… Rain will likely be happening in a widespread way across the region on Wednesday morning between 4AM and 8AM. Be ready for a wet morning commute. Thunderstorms are likely to be confined to areas near the immediate beach zones. Widespread severe weather is not expected.
