NEW: The Fultondale tornado has been given a rating of EF-3 w/ peak winds around 150 mph. Keep in mind that intensity & width varied along its path. The EF-3 damage was focused near Lykes Blvd to New Castle Rd. We will continue to review, but don't anticipate a change in rating. pic.twitter.com/VXZmQY1cG1

Scattered rain and storms continue to drift northeast. A couple of lightning strikes have happened in the last few minutes near Red Level and River Falls in Covington County.

4:30PM RADAR CHECK… Showers and thunderstorms continue to develop and move northeast across the area as we get set to go into the 5PM rush hour. Right now, the heaviest rain is happening along the US45 corridor in northern Mobile County near Citronelle.
Heavy rain is also happening near Bay Minette, Flomaton, Century, and McDavid.
Light to moderate rain is also happening near Red Level, Brewton, Damascus, McIntosh, Foley, and Magnolia Springs.
These showers and storms will continue to move northeast in the hours ahead. The severe weather risk is now quite low.
