RAIN APPROACHING ANDALUSIA… Rain and storms have almost made it to the eastern side of our region, meaning rain is set to begin near Red Level, Andalusia, and Crestview in the next hour. Rain will also be happening in much of the Pensacola metro area by the 5PM commute.
Storms remain below severe limits.

LOUD STORMS APPROACHING DAUPHIN ISLAND… Moderate to heavy rain continues in many spots across south Alabama as of 3:20PM. The heavier, more concentrated area of thunderstorms, however, is happening closer to the Mississippi/Alabama state line. These storms will approach Dauphin Island over the next 30 minutes.
There is some thunder involved today across inland areas but so far, locally anyway, storms have been below severe limits. Widespread severe weather is not expected over the next few hours. Heavier rain will move into areas near Brewton, East Brewton, Flomaton, Molino, Gateswood, and the Eastern Shore region over the next hour.
HEAVY RAIN NEAR ATMORE & CHUNCHULA… Widespread rain is happening across the western half of our local area. The heaviest rain, as of 2:55PM, is happening near Atmore, Bay Minette, Perdido, Chunchula, Mauvila, and Georgetown. These clusters of heavier rain are moving eastward.
Heavier rain is now moving into Monroeville, Atmore, and parts of the Mobile metro… Storms will continue to move eastward in the hours ahead.
