STRONG STORMS NEAR THOMASVILLE… Thunderstorms in parts of Clarke, Choctaw, and Marengo counties in west Alabama are quite strong this evening with lots of lightning happening near Bashi, Campbell, Thomaston, and Sweet Water. These storms are slowly sliding eastward toward Thomasville and Fulton.
Cloud-to-ground lightning and torrential downpours of rain are happening with these storms. No tornado risk.
Showers are happening closer to the coast with bigger storms in progress farther inland near the U.S. Highway 84 corridor.
