HOT & HUMID TODAY, RELIEF COMING NEXT WEEK… An Excessive Heat Warning and Heat Advisory continues for all local counties across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Saturday as heat index values will again climb above 110° this afternoon. A few showers and thunderstorms will pop up in the P.M. hours with heavy rain and prolific lightning being the main concerns. Sunday will be excessively hot and humid before we have highs in the mid-80s by Wednesday.
Relief is on the way with slightly cooler temperatures and slightly higher rain chances next week.
Stay cool today! Have a nice Saturday!
Temperatures will peak in the mid-90s this afternoon with heat index values in the 105-115° range. Quite hot!
A few showers and storms will be possible across the region.
