MORE P.M. STORMS TODAY; CHANCE OF STORMS THROUGH FRIDAY… So many folks are tired of the rain, but the good news is the rain is helping to keep our temperatures just a touch cooler than our climatological norms for this time of year. Rain chances will be elevated today, primarily in the afternoon and evening hours just like the last few days. High temperatures will be in the upper-80s. The next several days look seasonal, with no real changes needed in the forecast. We will call for a round of showers and thunderstorms each day, with most of the rain happening in the P.M. hours. Temperatures will be in the upper-80s and near 90 with morning lows in the low-70s.

TROPICS QUIET… The North Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico remain quiet. No new tropical storms are expected to form over the next 5-7 days. The peak of the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season will happen in mid-September.
