INCREASING CLOUDINESS TODAY; RAIN TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY… Cloud coverage will increase on this Thursday ahead of rain becoming possible overnight and on Friday. Most locales should remain dry during the daytime hours today. High temperatures will be in the mid-70s in most spots across the region.
RAIN LIKELY AT TIMES OVERNIGHT… Scattered showers will increase in coverage this evening from west to east across the region. The heavier, more consistent rain will likely happen in areas closer to the immediate coast with showers likely being more scattered in nature farther inland. A few rumbles of thunder are not completely out of the question overnight (specifically near the coast) but most spots will simply have rain at times. Overnight lows will be in the 50s.
SHOWERS & STORMS AROUND TOMORROW… We probably will have somewhat of a break in the rain Friday morning ahead of scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon and evening hours. Widespread severe storms are not expected and the overall risk of ANY severe storms happening across south Alabama and northwest Florida remains near zero.
DRY, MILD WEEKEND… High temperatures will be in the 70s this weekend with partly cloudy skies expected on both Saturday and Sunday. Unlike the last few weekends that have featured rain around, this weekend should be dry and pleasant.
MORE RAIN & STORMS NEXT WEEK… Next week will feature an unsettled weather pattern setting up on Monday into Tuesday. Early indications point to a chance of a few stronger storms around, specifically on Tuesday.
