STORMS TO MOVE TO OUR EAST; DRIER DAYS AHEAD… Rain and thunderstorms in progress across the region this morning will continue to move east and ultimately out of our local area later today. Drier conditions are likely during the early evening hours and we may actually have some sunshine before the end of the day. No sunshine this morning, however, as rain and storms are right over much of our region. The Storm Prediction Center maintains a low-end, Level 1 (out of 5) severe weather risk over the next few hours. The risk will come to an end from west to east. Drier, nicer days are ahead, starting tomorrow.

MOSTLY SUNNY DAYS WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY… Plenty of sunshine is in store for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday across south Alabama and northwest Florida. High temperatures will be in the 70s each day with morning lows in the 40s. Afternoon breezes (10-15 mph wind, nothing like what we have had over the last 24 hours with the 30-40 mph wind gusts!) will be possible each day.

FEW CLOUDS AROUND THIS WEEKEND; DRY CONDITIONS LIKELY… Partly cloudy skies are likely on Saturday and Sunday. No rain is in the forecast for the weekend. High temperatures will be in the low-80s with morning lows in the 50s and 60s.
