It’s a bit chilly this afternoon with most spots across south Alabama and northwest Florida stuck in the low-60s. Afternoon highs will be in the low- to mid-60s region wide.

⚠️ According to Carolina VFD, a fatal motor vehicle accident has happened in Covington County, AL on US29 just north of the intersection w/ AL137.
U.S. 29 is now closed in both directions near that area.
This is a major route for NW FL beach traffic.

LOW RISK OF RIP CURRENTS THIS WEEK… Good news if you’re headed to the local beaches tomorrow or on Tuesday. The overall risk of rip currents will be low. Sunshine returns on Monday with dry conditions likely for much of the upcoming week.
RAIN CHANCES TAPER OFF LATER TODAY… Scattered rain and thunderstorms will decrease in coverage in the midday and afternoon hours. High temperatures north of a frontal boundary draped right across our area will be in the upper-50s and near 60. Temperatures will peak near 70 closer to the coast this afternoon.
