NICE & WARM WEATHER TODAY AND THIS WEEKEND; RAIN POSSIBLE NEXT WEEK… Today and this weekend will feature high temperatures in the mid-80s with plenty of sunshine. It will be a wonderful weekend to get outside and enjoy the nice weather! Overnight lows will be in the low-60s. The weekend looks dry ahead of our next chance of rain late Monday evening into Tuesday when scattered showers and thunderstorms will become possible.
FORECAST FOR THE MULLET TOSS… The annual mullet toss will be held on the Alabama-Florida state line at Orange Beach/Perdido Key this weekend. The weather for the mullet toss looks absolutely splendid. High temperatures will be in the upper-70s and low-80s with partly cloudy skies today and on Saturday. Be aware that the overall risk of dangerous rip currents at ALL local beaches (including at the state line!) will be HIGH. Red flags will be flying at many local beaches this weekend, meaning surf levels may be dangerous for all levels of swimmers. Heed the advice of local beach patrol and flag warning systems.
ISOLATED SHOWERS POSSIBLE MONDAY AND TUESDAY… Moisture levels will likely be sufficient enough to support a few widely scattered showers on Monday evening into Tuesday of the upcoming week. Rain chances are not excessively high, but a few communities may have rain at times late Monday into Tuesday. High temperatures early next week will be in the low-80s with morning lows in the 60s.
