SUNNY SKIES TODAY, TOMORROW, AND SATURDAY… Nice weather is expected through Sunday. Unsettled, wet conditions return early next week when scattered showers will be possible. Unfortunately, it appears clouds may be an issue for the solar eclipse on Monday for our local area.
SUNNY THURSDAY; NICE WEEKEND; RAIN NEXT WEEK… Today will be a gorgeous weather day across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Ample sunshine is likely throughout the day with hardly anything in the way of cloud coverage across the region. High temperatures will be in the upper-60s north of U.S. Highway 84 with temperatures in the low- to mid-70s closer to the coast. Overall, a very nice weather day! More sunshine is in the forecast for Friday ahead of partly cloudy skies this weekend. I expect dry conditions into the weekend but that will change on Monday when scattered showers will become possible across the region.
NICE, PARTLY CLOUDY WEEKEND… Partly cloudy skies are expected on both Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will be in the mid-70s each day with morning lows in the 40s and 50s. No rain is expected to happen during the daytime hours of Saturday or Sunday. Isolated showers may become possible as early as late Sunday evening. Most of the area should remain dry until Monday.
SHOWERS AROUND ON MONDAY; ECLIPSE MAY BE OBSCURED LOCALLY… While not in the direct path of totality for the much-hyped solar eclipse slated to happen this Monday, April 8, south Alabama and northwest Florida will be in the partial eclipse zone. Unfortunately, clouds may hinder viewing of the eclipse locally with clouds being likely and showers being possible throughout the day on Monday. Unfortunately, it looks like much of the path of totality to our west in parts of Texas and Arkansas will also be obscured. The Storm Prediction Center has included areas near the Dallas-Fort Worth metro in a severe weather risk zone valid for Monday as well.
UNSETTLED PATTERN INTO NEXT WEEK… Showers will be possible Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the upcoming week with multiple rounds of rain being likely. High temperatures will be in the upper-70s early next week with low temperatures in the 60s.

QUITE PLEASANT TODAY… Beautiful weather is in store for south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Thursday! High temperatures will peak around the 70 degree mark. Plenty of sunshine is likely throughout the day.
