FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS TODAY & WARM TEMPS; COOLER TEMPS THIS WEEKEND… Warm temperatures with a few widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Monday. High temperatures will be in the upper-80s today. Just like what happened over the weekend, a few highly isolated showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms will be possible, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. I will have radar updates posted throughout the day, as needed, in the RedZone Weather app.

SIGNIFICANT SEVERE WEATHER EPISODE TO OUR WEST… Heads up if you have interests in the Great Plains today, specifically in Oklahoma and Kansas. The Storm Prediction Center has a large chunk of those states involved in an uncommon Level 4 (out of 5) severe weather risk. Significant tornadoes and very large hail are the main concerns today in those areas.

SIMILAR PATTERN TOMORROW AND INTO WEDNESDAY… Warm temperatures are expected tomorrow and on Wednesday. Highly isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible tomorrow. Rain chances will probably be closer to zero on Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the upper-80s and near 90° on Tuesday and Wednesday with morning lows in the upper-60s and near 70.

RAIN & STORMS POSSIBLE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY… Our next considerable chance of rain happens on Thursday and Friday as a cold front approaches our area from the northwest. Rain chances seem most pronounced on Thursday evening and Friday morning. For now, severe weather parameters seem rather low. High temperatures on Thursday will be near the 90 degree mark with highs on Friday in the low-80s.

BRIEF COOLDOWN THIS WEEKEND… This will, perhaps, be the last cooldown of the season with slightly cooler air taking hold of our local weather pattern on Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures on Saturday will drop into the upper-70s with morning lows likely to be in the 50s.

APP… Many updates will be posted throughout the day in the RedZone Weather app. redzoneweather.com/app is the link for the free download. Be sure to visit the Alerts tab (bottom right corner) and tap the large, yellow “Alert Settings” button to customize the alerts you’d like to receive from me. If you like a lot of info, be sure to toggle ON Low-Level Alerts.
