PARTLY CLOUDY TODAY; GREAT WEATHER FOR WEEKEND… Skies will remain partly cloudy on this Thursday. High temperatures will be around the 90 degree mark in many spots. Partly cloudy skies are expected on Saturday, Sunday, and into Memorial Day on Monday. High temperatures are expected to be in the low-90s each day with overnight lows near 70°. I can’t completely rule out a few showers in the evening hours of Monday, but most locales across the region will be dry.

RAIN AND STORMS ON TUESDAY… Our next considerable chance of rain and thunderstorms will happen on Tuesday as a frontal boundary approaches from the northwest. Scattered storms will be possible throughout the day. It is a bit too early to know if severe weather issues will be a real possibility, but that is something I will be monitoring in the next few days.

TROPICAL UPDATE… Tropical storm formation is not expected in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, or the Atlantic Ocean over the next 5-7 days. The 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season kicks off in just a few weeks on Saturday, June 1.
