SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING EAST… Severe thunderstorms are moving through Atmore, Poarch, Freemanville, Perdido, Walnut Hill, Wawbeek, Bratt, Bay Minette, Pine Grove, Steelwood, Stapleton, Melbas, Spanish Fort, Loxley, Daphne, Montrose, Fairhope, Bayou La Batre, Coden, Grand Bay, Tillmans Corner, Belle Fountaine, Sunny Cove, Hollingers Island, and Navco as of 3:24AM.
These thunderstorms are producing 60-70 mph confirmed wind gusts. A wind gust of 61 mph was recently measured at Brookley Field in Mobile.
STRONG STORMS FARTHER INLAND… Storms are just below severe limits near Mexia, Monroeville, Perdue Hill, Goodway, Excel, Frisco City, and Uriah. Loud thunder and gusty winds likely, however, as storms move east.
