Scattered thunderstorms are bringing pockets of heavy rain to Munson, Pace, Elsanor, Spanish Fort, Daphne, Belforest, Theodore, Tillmans Corner, Mobile, Navco, Semmes, and Wilmer as of 1:49PM.

The National Hurricane Center has flagged a tropical wave as an area of concern in 5-7 days. This system has a 20% chance of becoming a named tropical storm as it approaches the Yucatán Peninsula.

While our area certainly is accustomed to summer heat, the heat and humidity today and tomorrow will be brutal. Take it easy if outside!
KNOW THE SYMPTOMS OF HEAT STROKE… Be aware of the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke today and tomorrow as heat index values will easily be in excess of 105° at times in the P.M. hours.
Showers and storms are moving into northern parts of Clarke, Monroe, and Washington counties this morning.
