CHILLY DAYS, COLD NIGHTS THIS WEEKEND; SUNNY DAYS, CLEAR NIGHTS INTO NEXT WEEK… High temperatures will only be in the 50s in many spots across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Friday. Overnight lows will be near or below the freezing mark on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. A Freeze Watch is in effect for our region and I fully expect that to be a Freeze Warning shortly. Now is the time, if you haven’t already, to bring in pets and sensitive plants and ensure pipes are wrapped ahead of several days with cold temperatures. Skies will be partly cloudy this morning ahead of sunshine returning later today. Mostly sunny skies are expected on Saturday and Sunday.
HURRICANE SEASON OFFICIALLY ENDS TOMORROW… The 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season will officially end TOMORROW! Saturday, November 30 marks the end of the season. The Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean are quiet with no new tropical storms expected to form over the next 7 days.
