Cooler temps coming later this week into the weekend!
RAIN AT TIMES TODAY; MORE RAIN LATER THIS WEEK AHEAD OF COOLER TEMPS BY FRIDAY… Scattered sprinkles and showers will continue to be possible across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Veterans Day Monday. Thank you so much to all of the veterans every, single day, but particularly on this Veterans Day. We are grateful for your service! Rain will be possible at times throughout the day today. It won’t be an all day washout but intermittent showers will be possible throughout the day and into this evening. High temperatures will be in the upper-70s and near the 80 degree mark. More rain is in store later this week ahead of cooler temperatures set to arrive on Friday and Saturday after the passage of a cold front.
DRIER TOMORROW AHEAD OF MORE RAIN WED. P.M. INTO THURSDAY… High temperatures will be in the low-80s on Tuesday with mostly cloudy skies expected throughout the day. Rain chances tomorrow will remain very low (0-10% chance range). Showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage across the region on Wednesday P.M. into Thursday A.M. as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday will be around the 80 degree mark with overnight lows in the 50s.
COOLER, DRIER WEATHER COMING LATER THIS WEEK INTO THE WEEKEND… If you’ve been longing for cooler weather, we get a burst of cooler air later this week! High temperatures will be in the mid-70s on Friday and Saturday with overnight lows in the upper-40s and low-50s for Saturday morning. Drier conditions are expected Friday and Saturday with mostly sunny skies each day.
TROPICAL UPDATE… It is all good news this morning in the tropics. Tropical Storm Rafael continues to dissipate in the west-central Gulf of Mexico. The system will continue to fade away with the remnant circulation center drifting to the south over the next few days. The tropical disturbance we have been tracking over the last week that moved north of Puerto Rico and Hispaniola has also faded away. No new tropical storms are expected to form over the next 5-7 days. The 2024 Hurricane Season will officially end on Saturday, November 30.
