LOWER DEVELOPMENT CHANCES… There is good news tonight compared to last evening in that the National Hurricane Center (NHC) has lowered development chances for the area of disturbed weather in the Caribbean Sea. NHC suggests there is now a 30% chance of tropical storm formation this weekend, compared to the 50% odds last night.

MODELS TEND TO AGREE… The latest runs of the ECMWF/Euro and GFS have suggested today that this area of low pressure is not likely to develop. Obviously model data can and will change, so it is important that we don’t “write this system off” completely just yet. Be sure to check with me in the next few days as we continue to monitor this system.

FANTASTIC FRIDAY AHEAD… High temperatures are slated to be near 80° on Friday under an abundance of sunshine. No rain issues! Friday night high school football games will be dry with temperatures in the 60s.

GRAND MARSHALING TOMORROW… I look forward to seeing many of you in southern Monroe County in Uriah, Alabama at the J.U. Blacksher Homecoming Parade. I’ve been asked to be the grand marshal of the parade, which is something I’m truly honored by. I’ll be throwing some cool RedZone Weather-themed surprises. Hope you’ll join us! ?
