FEELING LIKE FALL THIS MORNING… Crisp, cool, fall-like air has arrived to south Alabama and northwest Florida. Some spots across the northern part of our local area are starting the day in the upper-40s this morning! A gentle breeze out of the north today will keep temperatures cool, with high temperatures peaking around 78-80°. Most folks would call the weather we’re having today “near perfect.”

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS… High school football games across the region will be dry with no rain to speak of across Alabama or northwest Florida. Temperatures will be in the 60s for most of the games, although I wouldn’t be shocked to see some upper-50s on the board around 9PM in the northern part of our area. Grab a light jacket for tonight if you’re a ‘cold-natured person.’

MORE SUNSHINE THIS WEEKEND… High temps rebound to the low-80s on Saturday and the upper-80s by Sunday with plenty of sunshine all weekend long. If you’re at the beach this weekend, there will be no rain issues with all sunshine each day!

STORMS ON MONDAY INTO TUESDAY… Another cold front is slated to move through our region on Monday into Tuesday. No severe weather issues are expected with the passage of this front at this time. There will be showers and thunderstorms involved each day, particularly in the daytime hours. Again, no tornado risk as of now.

TROPICAL LOW IN CARIBBEAN… The development probabilities continue to lessen for the area of disturbed weather in the Caribbean Sea. The National Hurricane Center now suggests there is only a 20-30% chance that it becomes a tropical storm this weekend. Regardless of classified development, the system will move toward the Yucatan Peninsula/Mexico this weekend.

URIAH PARADE TODAY… I’m honored to be the grand marshal in the J.U. Blacksher Homecoming Parade today! It will kick off this afternoon in Uriah, Alabama in southern Monroe County. I’ll be throwing some RedZone Weather-branded surprises! Hope to see you there.

Enjoy your weekend!
