LARGE HAIL JUST NORTH OF FLORALA… We encourage no driving on US331 in southern Covington County south of Onycha and north of Florala as there is a storm that is likely producing up to quarter size hail moving through. The storm is very near the Florala airport just north of town. Communities right under the hail core as of 8PM include Stedman, McRae, and Howells. This storm will quickly move into Geneva County near Hacoda in 5-10 minutes.
This storm will NOT affect Andalusia, Opp, Red Level, Carolina, Pleasant Home, River Falls, Gantt, Heath, Horn Hill, or Rose Hill. We are watching storms to the northwest of Covington County that will move through over the next few hours. We’ll keep you posted.
