SHOWERS POSSIBLE INLAND TODAY; WARM THIS WEEKEND… Other than the chance of a few showers across northern parts of Clarke, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, and Washington counties, I expect vast majority of south Alabama and northwest Florida to remain dry on this Friday. Temperatures will continue to be slightly above our seasonal norms for this time of year. Most spots will reach the low-80s inland with upper-70s likely closer to the coast. More warm temperatures are expected this weekend with highs in the 80s. Our next significant chance of rain will happen in the middle part of the upcoming week. Let’s look at all of your forecast details.

PARTLY CLOUDY & NICE SATURDAY… Passing clouds will be possible on Saturday, but overall, it is going to be a beautiful, nice, warm day. High temperatures are slated to peak in the 80-83° range across the region. There will be plenty of sunshine, especially in the afternoon and evening hours.

WARMER TEMPS ON SUNDAY… Most locales across the region will warm into the mid-80s by 2PM on Sunday. There could be a few spots that approach 86-87° (a bit surprising to hear in early March) but most spots will land in the 83-85° range.

MOSTLY CLOUDY MONDAY; RAIN POSSIBLE MIDWEEK… Skies will remain mostly cloudy into the early next week ahead of our next significant chance of rain Tuesday into Wednesday. Early indications point to a chance of passing showers with little risk of severe storms. This is good news, but we need to keep an eye on this system as it is mid-March. We will approach the peak of our primary severe weather season as we go into April. As of this moment, however, no severe weather is in the forecast.

APP… If you haven’t already, be sure to download the free RedZone Weather app to keep up with all the latest information on the world of weather in south Alabama and northwest Florida. redzoneweather.com/app is the link for the free download.
