FLURRY ALERT – SNOW FLAKES FLYING TONIGHT… EMA officials in Clarke County, AL are reporting a dusting of snow on elevated surfaces as temperatures are now below 32° in west Alabama. Snow flurries are likely to spread eastward toward I-65 over the next few hours then progress into areas east of I-65 after midnight. There is a chance areas farther east may not see any snow flurries as a drier low-level airmass moves in from the northwest. No significant travel impacts are currently expected, but the National Weather Service in Mobile will consider issuing a Winter Weather Advisory for several inland counties in the hours ahead if snow flurries “overperform,” leading to limited impacts being possible.
