VERY HOT TEMPS; P.M. STORMS… An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect today as heat index values may surpass 115-116° this afternoon. This is because of the intense humidity in place across our region in combination with air temperatures expected to be in the mid- to upper-90s later today.
Scattered storms will pop up this afternoon into the evening hours. Some of the storms may be strong at times with gusty winds being possible.
