ALBERTO WEAKENS TO DEPRESSION… Just in as of the newly issued 10PM CDT advisory by the National Hurricane Center: Alberto has weakened to a subtropical depression with max. winds near 35mph. Alberto is centered over Carolina, AL & Andalusia.This will be the final Low-Level Alert sent in the RedZone Weather app this evening. Further updates will continue to be posted here in the app and on Twitter, but no more push notifications since the overall weather threat is now lessening.
FLASH FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES… A Flash Flood Warning continues for Andalusia, Evergreen, Georgiana, McKenzie, Carolina, Red Level, Castleberry, Dixie, Damascus, Brooklyn, Florala, Wing, Libertyville, Midway, and surrounding areas. This warning is in effect until 2:45AM.
JUST IN: Alberto has weakened to subtropical depression status as of the 10PM advisory. The threat of heavy rain/flash flooding continues over south central Alabama over the next few hours!
