ALBERTO STRENGTHENS: 65MPH WINDS NEAR CENTER… The National Hurricane Center has issued a special advisory indicating that Subtropical Storm Alberto has strengthened. Maximum winds are now at 65mph, per the latest reports from the NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft. Flash flooding remains the number one concern as Alberto moves by our area on Monday, as 2-6″ of rain is expected across much of south Alabama and northwest Florida. 7-9″ of rain will likely happen over southeast Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.

SEVERE POTENTIAL OVERNIGHT… Outer rain bands are moving across our area now, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see heavy rain overnight at times. Have a way to recieve urgent weather information overnight. While odds of a tornado are low, they’re not zero.

APP… I’ll have more information in the coming hours here in the RedZone Weather app. My next Facebook video will be posted on Monday morning.

Let me know if you have questions. Have a nice evening & stay safe!
