The thunderstorm that just moved through Brewton dropped major rainfall. 0.75 inch of rain in about 30 minutes. Very heavy rain!

HEAVY RAIN NEAR BREWTON… Numerous showers and thunderstorms continue to pop up across our region. At the moment, the heaviest rain is happening near Brewton, East Brewton, Riverview, and Dixonville as a line of storms moves east. Heavy rain and lots of lightning are expected, however this storm is NOT severe.
Rare Flash Flood Emergency continues for much of Greene, Hale, Perry, southern Bibb, and Chilton counties for the next 3 hours (till ~3:30PM)… Water rescues and very high water reported across central Alabama! Heavy rain moving into areas near Montgomery as of 12:15PM. pic.twitter.com/wuOIPP3HQj
