ISOLATED STORMS AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON… Pop-up showers and thunderstorms will again dot the landscape across south Alabama and northwest Florida today, primarily between the hours of Noon and 7PM. Another hot day is on tap, with high temperatures around 93° in most spots across our region. The good news – the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico remain quiet with no tropical issues expected through the end of the weekend.

WEEKEND PREVIEW… Most spots will be dry this weekend, however there will be a few scattered showers and thunderstorms around. We’ll call it a 30% chance of showers and storms each day due to the “daily deluge”/seabreeze. These summer storms produce small (overall) areas of heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds, but are often well under severe limits. Have a way to check the radar this weekend. High temperatures will again be in the 90s.

APP… Many of you already have the RedZone Weather app. Thanks to everyone who has downloaded the app and opted into the specific alerts. It’s easy to set up the alerts you’d like to receive straight from me. Open the RZW app, tap the Alerts tab (bottom right corner), then tap the large, yellow “Alert Settings” button to turn ON the alerts you would like to receive.

Let me know if you have any weather-related questions. Have a great Thursday!
