BIG STORM IN OKALOOSA COUNTY… Showers and storms are getting somewhat of a later start today across much of south Alabama and northwest Florida. At the moment, very heavy rain is falling across the northwestern part of Okaloosa County near Baker, Milligan, and Crestview. This storm is producing very heavy rain and quite a bit of lightning.
Several small storms have also popped up across the region. We’ll be watching these tiny storms very carefully to see if they can grow larger. Severe weather is not expected today, but these small storms absolutely can (and do) “pack a punch” with very heavy rain and lightning!
Storms will begin to fade after sunset.
