SCATTERED STORMS CONTINUE… Widespread rain and thunderstorms continue to bring heavy rain to portions of south Alabama. Communities near Jay, Century, and Munson along the Florida Highway 4 corridor are also seeing rain this evening.
At the moment, heavier rain is happening along the Alabama River just east of Monroeville near Claiborne, Perdue Hill, and Marshalls Bluff.
LOUD STORMS HAPPENING ACROSS REGION… Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms continue to move northeast across south Alabama and portions of northwest Florida. Another round of heavy rain and storms is moving into Brewton, East Brewton, Riverview, Jackson, Toddtown, Salitpa, St. Stephens, and Wagerville. Storms have also fired yet again near Thomasville, Fulton, Atmore, Poarch, and Boykin.
Lightning output has ramped up with these storms over the last few minutes. Storms will continue to bring heavy rain and lots of lightning to scattered spots across our region over the next few hours. Just like previous days, storms will fade after sunset.
P.M. thunderstorm season continues in full force today with numerous small storms across the region… Nothing severe, but MAN is the rain heavy under some of these storms! pic.twitter.com/J3CJ3EBmvM
