HOT, SEASONAL WEEKEND AHEAD… Have a way to check the radar this afternoon and this weekend if you’re headed to the beach or you’re planning to be outside. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will again be happening in the afternoon and evening hours over the next few days. While this weekend won’t be a total washout, there will inevitably be storms around at times. High temperatures will be near or just above the 90 degreee mark.
TROPICAL UPDATE… Here is the official summary from the National Hurricane Center regarding the tropical wave approaching the Lesser Antilles: “A tropical wave located about 500 miles east-southeast of the Windward Island continues to produce a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Development, if any, of this system should be slow to occur during the next day or two while it moves west-northwestward around 15 mph toward the Windward Islands. By late Saturday, unfavorable environmental conditions should limit the chances for additional development while the system moves over the eastern Caribbean Sea. Regardless of development, this system is likely to bring locally heavy rainfall to portions of the Lesser Antilles later today and this weekend.”
ERNESTO MOVES OUT… Tropical Storm Ernesto is located about halfway between Newfoundland and the Azores Islands. Ernesto is “on the way out.” The system will become post-tropical today as it races toward the United Kingdom. No issues for North America from Ernesto!
See all the details in your Friday #rzw forecast video… Have a great day!
