ESCAMBIA COUNTY, AL STORMS… Several thunderstorms are in progress across south Alabama and northwest Florida. The strongest storms at the moment are situated over Hoomesville and Damascus in the eastern end of the county, but we also note an area of heavy rain near Barnetts Crossroads and Holman Prison.
Several storms are also happening across the southern half of Covington County. All of the storms are drifting north slowly. Storms should begin to fade shortly after sunset.
STORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE INLAND… Scattered areas of heavy rain continue to move inland, generally in the northern areas of northwest Florida. Storms are now pushing into the southern parts of Escambia (AL) and Covington counties.
Nothing severe, but storms are producing heavy rain and lots of lightning.
