SCATTERED STORMS FORMING… Several clusters of thunderstorms continue to fire up late this morning across south Alabama and northwest Florida. At the moment, heavy rain is happening near Downtown Mobile, the AL59 corridor (Loxley, Robertsdale, Steelwood, Holly Hills), Walnut Hill, Berrydale, Munson, Navarre, Opal Beach, Orange Beach, and Niceville. These storms are slowly drifting east.
Don’t be surprised by heavy downpours of rain this afternoon across the region. Not everyone will have rain by the end of the day, but I expect roughly 30-40% of our local communities will.
No need for big changes in the 7 day forecast… Highs in the low-90s, lows in the 70s, with at least some chance of rain in the afternoon/evening hours each day. pic.twitter.com/cSPNiAeylb
