COOL START; MILD AFTERNOON ON THIS MONDAY… Most spots across south Alabama and northwest Florida are starting the day in the 40s! It’s chilly this morning, but we will quickly rebound into the 70s around lunchtime. You’ll probably notice clouds on the increase throughout the day ahead of some showers forming late tonight or early on Tuesday. Temperatures will moderate a bit in the days ahead.

SEVERE WEATHER POSSIBLE THURSDAY… I’m choosing to not lead with this headline strictly because there is still a large amount of uncertainty with this. A surface area of low pressure will form over the western Gulf late Wednesday into Thursday and move eastward. Most model guidance at this point suggests the surface low will remain to our south in the Gulf of Mexico, keeping our weather drier and WITHOUT any risk of severe weather. There are some model scenarios, however, that show this low pressure moving farther to the north, perhaps including at least some of our local area near the coast in a severe weather potential zone.

This is nothing to worry with or stress over just yet as most model guidance points to no issues. I’ll be watching trends closely and I’ll certainly keep you posted. Check back with me throughout the week for updates!

See all the details in your Monday #rzw forecast video that will be available shortly in the RedZone Weather app. Have a great day!
