FANTASTIC, CALM WEATHER SET TO CONTINUE… Several more days of full sunshine and mild temperatures are expected across south Alabama and northwest Florida. High temperatures will peak around 70° this afternoon across the region. No rain is expected until late Sunday into Monday as a cold front approaches from the west. The first half of the weekend will be dry with increasing temperatures. Let’s look at a few details…

INCREASING TEMPERATURES… High temperatures will be around the 70 degree mark over the next few days with morning lows around 40° through Saturday morning. Temperatures will begin to increase on Saturday when highs will reach the mid-70s. We will approach 80° by Sunday and Monday as a warm, southerly flow off the Gulf of Mexico kicks in yet again. Cloud coverage will increase on Saturday evening ahead of increasing rain chances late Sunday.

STORMS POSSIBLE MONDAY INTO TUESDAY… Showers and thunderstorms will move in from our west on Monday into Tuesday ahead of the passage of a cold front. It remains too early to know specifics, but there could be a round of potentially strong storms that move by late in the day on Monday.

ANOTHER DRY SPELL AFTER TUESDAY… After the passage of the cold front early next week, model indications point to Wednesday and Thursday being drier with temperatures near our seasonal range (60s and 70s in the afternoon hours).
