BEAUTIFUL THURSDAY & FRIDAY; TEMPS HEADED UP… More sunshine is in store for our region on this Thursday. Temperatures peak in the low-70s this afternoon with only a few clouds around. No rain is expected today or on Friday. We’re monitoring our next “weathermaker” that will move our way late Sunday into Monday when a few showers and storms could happen across our area. Let’s look at a few details…

MAINLY QUIET TILL SUNDAY… The big weather headline remains unchanged in that we have a few more beautiful, nice, mild days upcoming through Saturday. High temperatures will increase into the mid-70s by Saturday with overnight lows in the 40s. There could be patchy fog in the early morning hours, especially this weekend as a warm, southerly wind returns.

FEW SHOWERS LATE SUNDAY… Our local radar displays will likely become more active later in the day on Sunday as showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms arrive ahead of the passage of a cold front on Monday. Temperatures will soar into the upper-70s by Sunday with sufficient instability in place to likely support a few thunderstorms by the evening hours. Based on the latest data, it seems like IF any strong storms happen locally, those would be on Monday. I’ll keep an eye on the situation and bring you the latest over the next few days in the RedZone Weather app.

APP… Now is the time to set up RedZone Weather app alerts if you haven’t already. redzoneweather.com/app is the link for the free download. Once you have the app downloaded to your iOS or Android device, be sure to visit the Alerts tab (lower right corner), then tap the large, yellow “Alert Settings” button to customize the alerts you would like to get straight from me.
