STORMS MARCHING EAST… Several thunderstorms continue to push eastward across south Alabama and northwest Florida late on this Monday morning. Heavy rain is happening right now near Red Level, Brooklyn, Boykin, Dixonville, Berrydale, Foley, and Magnolia Springs.

NEXT IN LINE FOR HEAVY RAIN… Heads up if you’re in Gantt, Heath, Andalusia, Carolina, Pleasant Home, Bradley, Elberta, or Bon Secour. These are the areas that will likely have heavy downpours of rain within the next 30-45 minutes as this batch of storms moves through.

MORE STORMS TO FIRE UP LATER TODAY… Scattered showers and thunderstorms will likely fire up this afternoon into this evening as more daytime heat content builds up in the atmosphere. It remains to be seen just how much impact this initial line of storms this morning will have on further storm development later today. The line of storms has been broken and not uniform as it has moved across our region, thus likely limiting the amount of instability it could help exhaust before storms fire later today. All this nerd talk to basically say: Keep tabs on the radar this afternoon and this evening as there will likely be storms around. High temperatures will peak in the low- to mid-90s. I’ll have updates here in the RedZone Weather app as needed over the next few hours.
