SHOWERS MOVING SOUTHEAST… Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms continue to move southeast across south Alabama and northwest Florida early on this Wednesday. Heavy rain is happening across nearly all of Santa Rosa and Escambia (FL) counties as of 12:56AM. A line of showers and storms is currently paralleling I-65 from near Georgiana to Atmore. Showers and storms will clear out in the latter part of the morning.

SEVERE WEATHER RISK HAS ENDED… The Storm Prediction Center has taken the entire local area OUT of their Level 1 (low-end, marginal) severe weather risk. General thunderstorms are set to continue overnight, but severe weather is not expected and the tornado risk is now at or near zero.
