STRONG STORMS APPROACHING MOBILE COUNTY… Strong thunderstorms currently moving through parts of Jackson, George, Stone, and Harrison counties in southeast Mississippi are moving eastward. These storms will approach the southern part of Mobile County within the next hour or so. Heads up if you’re in or near Bayou La Batre, Coden, Theodore, Tanner Williams, Dees, Grand Bay, Tillmans Corner, Seven Hills, and Dawes. These storms will produce heavy rain and gusty winds.
WEAK CELLS TO THE EAST… Broadly rotating showers and storms are happening across parts of Covington, Butler, Crenshaw, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. These small cells are drifting north-northeast. While there is a chance of a few of these storms ramping up to strong or severe levels briefly, it appears the risk of that happening is decreasing somewhat. We’ll keep watching these cells.
