COOL SUNDAY; WARMER MONDAY; STORMS BY WEDNESDAY… Cool, dry, stable conditions are in place across Alabama and northwest Florida on this Sunday. Temperatures are in the 50s and low-60s across the region this afternoon. We’re set to have a quick rebound in temperatures on Monday ahead of a storm system slated to move through late Tuesday into Wednesday. That storm system is likely to bring showers to our region Wednesday and maybe a few storms. Thanksgiving looks dry and mild (quite nice!) ahead of a gorgeous Black Friday. We’re also tracking the tropical storm in the far eastern Atlantic that just won’t go away: Sebastien. Let’s look at your forecast details.

TEMPERATURES QUICKLY REBOUND ON MONDAY… Temperatures are peaking in the low-60s on this Sunday. We’re headed to the upper-30s Monday morning for overnight lows, but temperatures will quickly rise into the 60s late Monday morning. Afternoon highs will peak in the upper-60s on Monday. No rain issues are expected on Monday.

CLOUDS INCREASE TUESDAY… You’ll notice more clouds in the sky on Tuesday ahead of showers becoming possible late in the day into the late evening hours. While most of the rain is set to happen on Wednesday, I can’t rule out a few showers (especially over west Alabama) on Tuesday night. High temps on Tuesday will surge into the mid-70s.

RAIN & STORMS LIKELY WEDNESDAY… Showers and thunderstorms will become likely on Wednesday as a frontal boundary slides through our region. This is a cold front, however it’s not a front that will usher in cooler temperatures. Temps following the frontal passage (or lack thereof considering the front will probably stall near the coast!) won’t be much cooler at all. There could be a few strong storms around Wednesday afternoon under some scenarios, but we note that MOST model guidance points to rain and general thunderstorms. We’ll keep watching this potential and bring you the latest over the next few days in the RedZone Weather app.

NICE, MILD THANKSGIVING DAY… Mostly sunny skies are likely for Thanksgiving Day. High temperatures will be in the low-70s, which is ever so slightly above our climatological norm for Thanksgiving. Quiet weather is expected Thanksgiving into Black Friday.

WARM TEMPS FOR BLACK FRIDAY… Highs will surge into the mid- to upper-70s for Black Friday. If you’re headed out to shop early Friday morning, we’re looking at temperatures in the 50s across the region. Light jackets maybe, but not ridiculously cold.

RAIN POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND… We’ll be able to focus on this potential more midweek, but there is a chance we could have some showers and storms around late Saturday into Sunday. Rain chances for the Iron Bowl are slightly higher than previously thought, BUT still not a high chance. We’ll call it a 20% chance of rain for now.

TROPICAL STORM SEBASTIEN TO IMPACT AZORES… Sebastien is the tropical storm that just won’t go away. The system is approaching The Azores in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. Maximum winds are near 65 mph. Sebastien is expected to finally become extratropical tonight or on Monday. No direct impacts from this tropical storm are expected for the continental United States.
